Navigation on the Panama Canal.

Navigation on the Panama Canal.

What would be a trip to Panama without visiting and realizing with his own eyes this Canal.

Indeed, this small country of Central America is first known worldwide for its famous Canal. Indeed every day sees dozens of ships going from the simple sailboat to the huge container gates connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean .

With its 80 kilometers long, the canal allows ships to avoid a detour of nearly 15,000 kilometers forcing them to bypass South America, which greatly facilitates international trade.

Initially, this project was started by the French at the initiative of Ferdinand de Lesseps who, following malaria and mainly yellow fever, abandoned its construction .  Usa its President Théodore Roosevelt took the challenge and acheive the canal in 1914.

The Panama Canal was very recently enlarged (end of work June 2016) to accommodate larger and larger boats (called Overpanamax). We propose you by this excursion to live the experience in total immersion, by navigating on this Channel.

You will embark on a boat for a mini cruise of about 4 hours on the Panama Canal. This excursion is an excellent solution to discover this treasure, to apprehend the functioning of the locks . In fact,  you will cross and to thus benefit from spectacular landscapes woven by the man through the beautiful and green Panamanian nature. While navigating, you will be brought to cross ships with which you will feel very small. In addition, during this navigation, you will have lunch aboard the ship, while contemplating what surrounds you. Trust us, you will keep this experience an extraordinary memory!
